When Samuel became principal of the only Christian school in his remote village in northern Zambia, he had no formal training—just passion and a deep desire to see children thrive. His days were filled with teaching, administration, and doing repairs with his own hands. But something was missing. The school had no direction, no shared purpose.
That changed when Samuel enrolled in ACSI Africa’s online leadership development course. Over six weeks, he engaged with mentors across the continent, learned about servant leadership, curriculum planning, and how to cultivate a Christ-centred learning culture.
Empowered by this new vision, Samuel gathered his small teaching team and began to implement what he learned. They held morning devotions with students. They introduced project-based learning to bring the Bible into maths and science. Parents started attending school meetings. A year later, enrolment nearly doubled.
Today, Samuel no longer works alone. He leads a growing team of educators who see their work not just as a job, but as a calling.
