ACSI Africa is committed to strengthening Christian schools and equipping Christian educators so they will prepare their students academically and inspire them to become devoted followers of Christ across the continent. We serve schools, teachers, leaders, and students through a diverse range of educational and support services toward promoting Christ-centred quality learning and holistic transformation.
We offer ongoing workshops to equip educators with current best practices and biblically integrated teaching strategies to foster both personal and professional growth. This is mediated and effectively served through ACSI training programs based on its global core standards for quality in Christian educational practices. These include the Paths to School Improvement (PSI), and Teacher Certification Program
Aims to equip 1 million teachers in biblical worldview and intergration by 2050.
This program is the result of the 2023 African Roundtable 4, a gathering where 236 in-person participants from 30 African nations and seven other countries came together for fellowship in Christ. They engaged in listening, learning, and dialogue to shape a collective response to the ACSI 2023 Roundtable theme: "Envisioning the Church and Christian Education Together for Africa 2050."
ACSI established a committee of twelve teacher training experts from seven global regions to develop global core standards. This committee identified five universally relevant standards that uphold high global requirements. These standards ensure that teachers possess foundational knowledge of teaching theory and practice, demonstrate biblical understanding, and create integrated lessons with a biblical worldview.
“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” – 2 Timothy 2:2
ACSI encourages and supports the development of national associations of Christian Schools (NACS) into representative, legitimate, legally recognized and operationally viable entities. Such NACS normally federate a large body of the existing national Christian schools, are well connected with the national church body across different denominations, and are led by the citizens of the host countries.
An ACSI country office related to the NACS is vested with the mission to advance the movement of Christian education, generally, and Christian schooling, in particular, within its national jurisdiction. It federates local Christian schools through a representative, legitimate, legal, and viable entity, providing quality educational services to those member schools and others, either directly or through service providers; promoting and developing Christian schooling; advocating for government support and liaison; facilitating the professional development of Christian school staff; and promoting ACSI membership.
ACSI encourages collaborative approaches to educational development. We uphold values related to restorative practices and healthy cross-cultural partnerships between the majority and minority worlds.
ACSI serves individuals as well as church and school communities through facilitating healthy partnerships focused on social, spiritual, and financial investment opportunities that are mutually beneficial.
