Leaving a well-established executive job to become a missionary in education shocked many around us. But according to His word in John 14:12, Jesus sends me to do the works He does—and even greater ones. Initially, I was really worried about that but since I said 'yes,' God, in His goodness, has taken me into His school. Like a child, I have learned to walk—walk by faith—and to know Him more deeply.
It has now been three years since the teacher training program “Educating For Life” was launched in Madagascar. Since then, 27 trainers and 473 teachers, educators, and parents have been trained in the model of Jesus as a teacher. The goodness of God is accessible in every circumstance, making transformation possible among teachers, students and parents through the application of biblical principles. Â
The goodness of God also opens doors through strategic partnerships for the growth of the mission He has entrusted to us :
- First, in a Malagasy village, it all began with evangelism in 2015, followed by the construction of a school. That school became a bridge, drawing families to attend the village church and grow within a Christ-centered community. A training and internship center—with on-site trainers—has now been established to replicate this model across the country. So far, 61 teachers have been trained for 5 more villages, with the goal of expanding this model to 450 villages throughout Madagascar.
- Second, in 2023, God closed a door to a training opportunity I had considered essential. But in His wisdom, He opened another one—leading to the establishment of the first officially ACSI-member school in Madagascar. This school is now in the process of preparing for ACSI accreditation. Additionally, a teacher training center is currently under construction to support the continued development of Christian education in the country.
God’s goodness reveals His wonderful plan and provides all that is needed to accomplish what He calls us to do:
- He provides human resources beginning with my family but also all the people around this ministry : trainers, participant teachers, partners, intercessors and supporters… God had also prepared rich and fruitful connections through the ACSI roundtables. As a result of these collaborations for instance, we launched the first assessments with the Global Accreditation Association in Madagascar this year.
- God also provides the necessary means for every mission in His time and in just the right amount. God has used every possible channel of blessing. Every mission has been carried out in peace and joy!
- God also gives the strength to fulfill His plans. Many times, He renewed us physically and even healed us in miraculous ways, making us true witnesses of His Power.
All these moments are precious—building faith, hope, and love—deeply felt in a heart that declares: God is good! When Jesus commanded us to go and make disciples of all nations, His goodness was fulfilled in His promise: “And behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the world.” (Matthew 28:20)
God sends us and faithfully reveals His goodness. We cannot separate God from His goodness, nor His goodness from who He is. To walk in His will is to live in His goodness every single day.
To God alone be Glory! Â
